As we Bright Young Things see it.

When dreamers go to bed, their world is only just beginning.

Bits and blobs as I come up with them.

Ever wished that you had advice from somebody Older, somebody who has Been There and Done That?

A tribute to the great city of London.

- Merry Christmas
The perfect Christmas (or: The One That Started It All).

Explosions of colour, and a blossoming romance in the city of Venezia.

It's funny what the simple act of eating porridge might bring up.

Bits and blobs I pick up as I leave footprints behind.

Chatter Away

What's this??

This is not a blog.

Neither is it a personal webpage.

This website was born as a distraction to very dull and very tedious application-forms fillings-in, and is a random collection of anything aspiring to be known as 'artistic' that I have ever produced.

All of this has been created and written in as a bit of fun or silliness, and I do hope that it will be taken as such. After all, seriousness is a quality exclusively reserved for boring, old people.

Oh, and if you don't think your comments are fit for public viewing because they are too defamatory /angry /rude /allornoneoftheabove, by all means feel free to contact me for a private chat .

Happy browsing!

ROUX'S BLUES

This is My Story
5th December 2009

I would like to tell a story. But I know not where to begin. So many excuses, so many constraints. Just do it.

And what a revelation. To uplift. Rather than to channel misery. A tool to protect.

The man whose hands turned to feet. He hid them in shoes. Never once did it cross his mind to break the law.

    Wannsinn

Halloween
1st November 2009

    The heavens opened.
    The sky roared.

What pain was it I wonder?

What's in a Name?
26th September 2009

Perhaps I should have known it was a sign I could not say your name. Yet now morbid curiosity is starting to seep through. It is like a life long past, but I cannot help but try to peer over the wall.
Listening to the screaming of cars from the boardroom, watching the vehicles fly over the bridges by the bay. Will I get to see it again? Another set of crossroads will be looming over me soon.

So many who do. But so many who don't.

    Purupyon

Another Dawn
1st August 2009

Another month rolls on by, and perhaps another summer slips by in a whirl of wind and rain. So much to tell you, so much not to say.

Is this what one might have hoped for? Yet I feel more at ease knowing that sometimes 'tis best to not wish for anything.

15.
7th July 2009

    I was there.

Maybe not on the day, but definitely during the tournament and what a match! Covering under the duvet, sick from nerves. I can only imagine what it must be like, but surely it's to do with strengthening. Or so I tell myself.

What a great load of fun. Now back to reality.

Strawberries and Cream
27th June 2009

Summer's here. And for once we can't complain with the cast of the die. Heat and fluffy white clouds.

And of course, the beautiful game.

Grinding On
6th June 2009

    I am not a housewife.

Then why am I spending Saturday morning doing all the cleaning imaginable?

It is a difference from work, but is it work of a kind too?

    Brownies, anybody?

Anything But
17th May 2009

Rubbish weather on a Sunday. The hilarity still milling about from the night before.

Norway rocked the house last night.

    I bake now!

LOGBOOK

9th April 2009

  • What a mess some of my previous photographs look. The exposures and timings leave much to be desired.

  • When shall I mess around with this just a little more?

29th June 2008

  • I have let my chatterbox die again in my negligence. It should now be back to normal. No more foreseeable updates though.

14th December 2007

  • If you have a wee peek in the travel pages, I have uploaded random photos and will add more as the days pass. Unfortunately my self-enforced allergy to the computer does mean I spend more time away from it than in front of it.

  • Am also hoping that I will get better with the photographs in terms of putting them up, taking better ones, and Photoshop. Hmmmm.

  • Got bored, updated the lists, then got bored and went off to eat some (sans egg) fried rice.

17th September 2007

  • Got rid of boring genii pages. They weren't even complete anyway!

22nd August 2007

  • Started work on a travel blog since I will get increasingly bored as the days go by. Yet I knew there was a reason why I didn't start work last week!

20th June 2007

  • Shanghai: the big smoke now documented on the China photography page.

19th June 2007

  • Put up some pictures of Hangzhou from August 2003.

22nd April 2007

  • Uploaded various photos from the latest Paris trip.
